OnlineExpert (Internet)

OnlineExpert is LearnKey's next-generation course delivery infrastructure and e-learning platform. This dynamic web-based system combines the benefits of traditional classroom instruction and the advantages of computer-based training in a flexible delivery format. OnlineExpert provides anytime, anywhere learning, allowing you to study at work, at home during evenings or weekends, even from a hotel room while traveling.

Minimum Hardware Requirements

  • 1 GHz processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 200 MB free disk space
  • 4 MB VRAM, 16-bit color, and 800 x 600 resolution
  • Headphones or speakers
  • Broadband Internet connectivity or a CD/DVD drive for using a MediaPoint CD* to assist with low Internet bandwidth or dialup access

Minimum Software Requirements

  • Adobe Flash Player 10.0

Bandwidth

Streaming bandwidth ranges from 95–260 Kbps per user stream, depending on the video content type currently playing. Average is 150 Kbps. When using a MediaPoint CD, the Internet connection still requires 35 Kbps per user.

NetworkExpert (Intranet)

LearnKey's powerful network training solutions provide on-demand access to our award-winning content over your organization's intranet. Content is loaded on a server and made available to all users throughout the network. A network solution gives you engaging instruction just when you need it, course content that is easy to manage, streamlined administration, convenient delivery and effective use of your training dollars.

  • CD/DVD drive if using a MediaPoint CD*

Server Hardware & Software Requirements

  • Same applicable minimums as workstation (speakers, Flash Player, WMP and JVM optional if server not also used as a testing workstation)
  • Windows Server 2000 SP2, 2003 SP3, 2008 R2, or 2012 R2 (in testing)
  • IIS (version dependent on server OS version)
  • Windows Media Services

CD-ROM

LearnKey CD-ROMs integrate expert video instruction with interactive simulations and a variety of assessments and exercises. Our CD-ROMs are a popular alternative to online training because they consume little or no Internet bandwidth while providing the full visual experience of a LearnKey course in a user-friendly interface.

Whether through OnlineExpert, NetworkExpert, or CD, all course content is the same.

*LearnKey MediaPoint CD technology (Windows and Internet Explorer only) supports dial-up access to OnlineExpert and low Internet/LAN/WAN bandwidth by localizing course multimedia content to a CD-ROM.
